S-NET in the National Chamber of Ethernet Communications (Krajowa Izba Komunikacji Ethernetowej KIKE)

On 11 February 2011 S-NET Sp. z o.o. was accepted into the National Chamber of Ethernet Communications (Krajowa Izba Komunikacji Ethernetowej). This is the second major association, after the Polish Chamber of Information Technology and Telecommunications (Polska Izba informatyki i Telekomunikacji), in which S-NET participates.

As a result of its participation with the National Chamber of Ethernet Communications (Krajowa Izba Komunikacji Ethernetowej, KIKE) S-NET is able to establish connections with the KIX traffic exchange node, which is available only to members of the chamber. It is one of the largest traffic exchange nodes in Poland, and another in which S-NET participates.

The National Chamber of Ethernet Communications (Krajowa Izba Komunikacji Ethernetowej, KIKE) was formed on 28 October 2008. It brings together Ethernet, Metro-Ethernet and Wi-Fi network operators that provide internet access services as well as utilize Ethernet networks to transmit all possible forms of media, such as: Internet, IPTV, or VOIP, and compete with the existing cable and telephone operators.

The National Chamber of Ethernet Communications' (Krajowa Izba Komunikacji Ethernetowej KIKE) main goal is to create a united front to contend with all the events and parties, with which Ethernet network operators must deal with on a daily basis, namely: developers and housing estate administration; suppliers of equipment and services; suppliers of TV and telephone connections;  undertaking joint marketing activities aimed at educating customers as to new and emerging  technologies offered by Ethernet networks (e.g. IPTV, VoIP).

S-NET Sp. z o.o. is a telecommunications operator with Cracow roots. The company is a member of the Polish Chamber of Information Technology (Polska Izba informatyki i Telekomunikacji) and the National Chamber of Ethernet Communications (Krajowa Izba Komunikacji Ethernetowej, KIKE). S-NET's service offer is directed to business clients and operators. The firm provides Internet access services, transit services for foreign operators and traffic exchange nodes, data transfer services, IP telephony (SIP Reseller Platform ) and Data Center services (colocation, dedicated servers) at proprietary Data Centers.
